Great Place To Work Names RSM one of the Best Workplaces for Parents™ for 2024

CHICAGO – (December 13, 2024) – Great Place To Work® (GPTW) has named RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the leading provider of assurance, tax and consulting services for the middle market – as one of the Best Workplaces for Parents™ for 2024, joining American Express, Bank of America, Cisco, HubSpot, Zillow Group and other prominent employers. This is the fifth year RSM has been named to this prestigious list.

GPTW has been surveying employees around the world about their workplace experiences for 30 years, developing a set of themes and metrics that not only reveal whether employees feel their workplace is great, but also predict retention, agility and overall business success. Using its proprietary Trust Index™ survey, they measure the core of what creates great workplaces – key behaviors that drive trust in management, connection with colleagues and loyalty to the company.

According to GPTW, the company you work for plays a big role in your mental health. Managers have a larger impact on employees’ mental health than their doctor or therapist. The 2024 Fortune Best Workplaces for Parents™ list shows that a consistently positive experience at work contradicts the trend seen at typical workplaces, according to research from Great Place To Work®.

At these companies, 90% of working parents look forward to coming to work, and 91% say they want to work for their company long term. But for parents at typical workplaces, only 52% of parents look forward to their work each day, and just 65% plan to stay in their role. One of the key differences between the Best Workplaces for Parents and a typical workplace is how much control parents feel they have over their experience. In practice, that often comes down to interactions with their direct manager.
