John Bird is a partner, tax leader for RSM’s Private Company capability and office leader for the Chicago office, RSM’s designated headquarters.
John joined RSM in 1993 through an acquisition in 2005. Throughout his career, his primary focus has been serving the tax needs of privately held companies and related family members. He also brings years of industry knowledge to each client relationship to understand their challenges and provide relevant insights and solutions.
John attributes his opportunities to serve as a leader at RSM to the strong relationships he has fostered with both clients and his colleagues at RSM. John actively supports and assists colleagues in their professional development, contributing to both their individual success and the firm’s future achievements. John is also active and supportive of RSM’s CDI and charitable programs. He has been involved with the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago and other local charities through the RSM Power of Love program. John and his wife are active in their church and children’s schools and have organized and supported numerous fundraising events.
